Printed electronics is a set of printing methods used to create electrical devices on various substrates where the printed circuitry is very lightweight, flexible, and cost-effectively produced. The industry typically uses common printing equipment suitable for defining conductive patterns on material (usually PET film that is 2 to 10 mil thick), with screen printing being the best suited due to its ability to lay down heavy deposits (5 to 30 microns) of conductive inks.
