GSI Technologies is a recognized leader in EL production, testing, and qualification with over 20 years of EL manufacturing experience for wearable, industrial & consumer markets, and over 85 million EL lamps shipped to date. EL lamps draw very little power, and produce little heat. Due to the absence of filaments or mechanical parts, EL lamps are not susceptible to shock, vibration or catastrophic light failure, making them ideal in the following applications:

  • Safety and security – Illuminated EL text and icons on police, fire, EMS and DOT worker apparel for increased visibility and secure identification of personnel
  • Sport – Integrated into running and biking apparel in combination with retro-reflective markings for increased visibility in dusk or nighttime conditions
  • Branding – Illuminated logos in low to no-light environments draws attention to brand
