BURR RIDGE, Illinois, June 23, 2009 –GSI Technologies LLC is very pleased to have been presented with a Eugene Singer Award by the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute, at its Spring meeting in Naples, FL. The Eugene Singer Award, also known as The Best Managed Company Award, is considered by many to be the pinnacle of business achievement for label printers.
GSI Technologies is a 5-time winner of this prestigious annual Award. As it has grown over the years, GSI has received the Award in three of four company size categories. Suzanne & Bob Zaccone, founders of the 25 year old firm and 20 year members of TLMI, accepted the Award on behalf of GSI’s employees and investors. “The employees and teamwork at GSI Technologies are the reason we are able to be here to receive this award,” said Bob Zaccone.
GSI Technologies, located in Burr Ridge, Illinois, began as a printer and converter of industrial label and nameplate products. The industrial graphics business has continued to grow over the years. In the late 1990s the company leveraged its printing technology expertise to enter the then infant field of “printed electronics”. GSI is now widely recognized as a world leader in this emerging technology, producing printed electronics components for end users in such rapidly growing spaces as medical devices, blood test strip and smart cards.
